Jim Henning began his service on Owen Electric Cooperative’s Board of Directors in the summer of 2025, bringing with him more than 30 years of experience in the electric utility industry. Prior to his retirement, Jim served as President of Duke Energy Kentucky and held numerous leadership roles throughout his career with Duke Energy.

In addition to his service on the board, Jim remains actively involved in his community. He serves on several local boards, including BeNKY, a Northern Kentucky economic development organization, and the City of Florence Transportation Improvement District, where he serves as treasurer.

Jim is married with two children and enjoys golfing and spending time with family and friends at Elk Lake in Owenton, Kentucky.
