Among the energy-efficient upgrades eligible for reimbursement are:

  • ENERGY STAR-labeled lighting
  • Insulation
  • Generators
  • Windows, doors, skylights, roofing, or other ENERGY STAR building components
  • Programmable thermostats and controllers
  • High volume, low speed fans
  • Tankless water heaters
  • Low-energy livestock waterers
  • Variable drives for well pumps
  • New installation of, or conversion to, energy efficient grain drying/poultry/dairy systems

Successful applicants may receive up to 50 percent reimbursement of a qualified energy-saving item (up to $10,000). The 2025 application deadlines are April 25, August 29, and December 19.
